Be a Koala Hero during Save the Koala Month 2023!
Welcome to Save the Koala Month, the annual worldwide event dedicated to raising awareness about Koalas and their habitat. This September, we invite you to join the Australian Koala Foundation’s mission to Save the Koala and create a more sustainable future for all.
Why Save the Koala?
Koalas are one of Australia’s most iconic and beloved animals, but they face threats from habitat loss, climate change, disease, and human activity, contributing to population declines. There are less than 60,000 Koalas left in the wild.
How can you help?
This September, you can take part in a variety of fundraising activities to support the Koala, and also share AKF’s educational resources about Koalas and their habitats (visit About Koalas for more information).
It’s your turn to make the world a better place! You have 30 days to find 30 ways to Save the Koala.
The AKF has created a suggestion list to guide and entertain both adults and children during September. You can be as creative as you like, and remember, you are doing this for Koalas. Have fun!
